We provide professional day-care provision for children in the local community within a rural farmyard setting, utilising a converted Sussex tithe barn and its surroundings. We do this in the following ways:

We take the children on beautiful woodland walks, as the nursery is set close to woods.



We will keep a few farm animals such as chickens and goats.

Breakfast, lunch and tea are prepared and cooked on site in the nursery kitchen.  Where possible produce is fresh, organic and meat will be local and traceable.

The nursery is open 50 weeks of the year (closed for two weeks over Christmas and the New Year.) We offer early start times and late closing times.



Tom and Sara Andrew are joint partners of The Farmyard Nursery.
Tom grew up on the farm where the nursery is situated. Sara Andrew who will be deputy manager of the nursery is a qualified secondary school teacher who has been teaching for the past ten years in the local area. Tom and Sara have three children of their own.

The nursery has OFSTED registration to provide care for 24 children. Rebecca Lewis is the nursery manager. Rebecca has fifteen years experience in Early Years Childcare and running nurseries. She is an NVQ assessor and is a great asset to the nursery.
